A festival is, by essence, a place for meeting and sharing. In addition to the educational workshops organised in the region’s schools in partnership with the French Ministry of Education, the festival multiplies its actions aimed at bringing this year’s music to the ears of the younger generation. To help you with your choice, please note that the duration of the concert is specified for each event.
YOUNG AUDIENCES
On top of a special day dedicated to a younger audience (see below), all the festival events* are in free access to all under 25 (upon reservation).
1:30 PM – BACKSTAGEIMMERSION Step into the shoes of the musicians on a guided tour, and discover the magic of the Opera House’s behind-the-scenes.
3:00 PM – FAMILY CONCERT Le voyage de Noah is a musical tale imagined by Quintette Altra with Calypso Michelet, which takes young and old alike on a voyage of discovery through evocative music from various European countries. Children follow the adventures of little Noah, who sets off in pursuit of Santa Claus, listening to original or transcribed works for wind quintet. They learn to recognise the different instruments (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn) hiding among Emma Bertin’s shimmering illustrations.
* except for the events organised within the Season programme of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo (on March 2 and 14), of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo (on March 30), and by the Ballets de Monte-Carlo (from April 23 to 27).
